1. The Rules of the Road
a. Send up to 15 minutes-worth of unedited writing to my partner by midnight. If I write for more than fifteen minutes, I will send only what I finished in fifteen minutes or mark where the fifteen-minute point is. I will not expect my partner to comment beyond that. You will receive instructions on how to provide feedback.
b. Spend 5-15 minutes emailing only positive feedback about my partner's writing within 24 hours of receiving it. You will receive more information about how to do this, but no experience is necessary.
c. Not to provide any directive or critical comments unless my partner's bio includes a request for a more in-depth response. You will receive more information defining this type of response.
d. As a participant, you plan to write 7 days a week for three weeks. If something comes up, you agree to let your writing partner know that you are unable to write/review on those days. (e.g. a weekend)
5. The Refund Policy
a. If you cancel up to 7 days before the start date, you will receive a 70% refund
b. If you cancel within 6 days before the session begins, you will receive a 25% refund.
c. Once the session has begun, no refunds.
6. The Privacy Policy
Rachel Kobin uses your contact information in the following ways only:
1) To let your writing partner contact you, only your email address is shared.
2) Email or phone are used contact you regarding scheduling, payment, and to send handouts and literary information relevant to the workshop.
3)To invite you to future workshops.
4) If you sign up for the newsletter, I use your contact information to send you news about workshops, alumni publishing news, and other relevant-to-writing news.
7. The Enrollment Policy
As a participant, you plan to write 7 days a week for three weeks. If something comes up, you agree to let your writing partner know that you are unable to write/review on those days. (e.g. a weekend)
As a sole proprietor, Rachel Kobin reserves the right to refuse admission to the workshop or dismiss a participant at any point during a workshop. This decision would not be made on the basis of age,* race, gender, sexual orientation or class, but only if she determines that a potential or current participant would prevent the rest of the participants from receiving the full benefits of the program.
