Write every day for 5-15 minutes and send my writing to my partner by 11:59 PM every day, even if I only have a few words to send. Aside from typos or anything that makes it illegible, I will not edit my writing. If I miss a day or days, I will not send my partner more than one piece of writing the next time.

Send only 15 minutes worth of writing to my partner. If I write for more than fifteen minutes, I will send only what I finished in fifteen minutes.

Spend 5-15 minutes emailing only positive feedback about my partner's writing within 24 hours of receiving it. Positive feedback means reflecting on what you took away from the piece, and/or any phrases/sentences that stand out as good and strong. I will not point out things I'd like to know more about unless my partner requests this kind of feedback. If my partner requests constructive feedback, I will provide a few brief comments about what ideas I'd like to know more about or how my partner might improve what they've written.

I recognize that freedom of expression is critical to writers and readers. If there is a subject I want to protect myself from, I will say so in the bio I write below, or I will contact Rachel Kobin at [email protected]. The facilitators will do their best to match me with appropriate writers. Therefore, I will not hold Rachel Kobin, dba The Philadelphia Writer's Workshop, or any participants in this workshop liable for any damages incurred by reading others' work.

Refund Policy
No refunds.
The only exception is if the Director, Rachel Kobin, cancels the workshop due to her own illness. If that arises, she will make every effort to re-schedule, and if she can't, a pro-rated refund will be issued.

Privacy Policy:
I use your contact information in the following ways only:
1) To let your writing partner contact you--email only. You may share other contact information by yourself.
2) To contact you regarding scheduling, payment, and to send handouts and literary information relevant to the workshop in which you have enrolled.
2)To invite you to future workshops.
3) If you sign up for the newsletter, I use your contact information to send you news about workshops, almuni news, and other relevant-to-writing news.

Enrollment Policy:
As a sole proprietor, Rachel Kobin reserves the right to refuse admission to the workshop or dismiss a participant at any point during a workshop. This decision would not be made on the basis of age,* race, gender, or class, but rather if she determines that a potential or current participant would prevent the rest of the participants from receiving the full benefits of the workshop. *The workshop is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18.
